Three day weekend...

Don't we all love a well used three day weekend! Joel flew in from LA to be here for the weekend, it was Mark's birthday. Saturday night we had a cocktail hour, dinner and wine tasting at three different locations located on Pacific street between the 2 blocks of Hyde and Polk (Needless to say we didn't need a cab).
Watched some football Sunday, had a "sports burst" (frisbee, football, golf and smashball within 45 minutes) went shopping at Banana Republic, ate dinner at the "Thirsty Bear" (Joel's new favorite restaurant in SF. GO JOEL!)
We'll see what this week holds in store. It seems that every week is a new adventure these days....

Two Thousand Great is 2008...

2008 is off to a great start. A goal of mine has been to start a stable routine. I always find myself in admiration of people who can make a plan and follow through with that plan. It sounds easy but how many people really are disciplined to the point in which they live the life they "know" they should be... not many. My approach has been to have a morning gym session at 6:15am and to have a meal plan that is consistant, healthy and easy to prepare. With the help of Annie, Mark and Arica I've been going to gym every workday morning and I've been eating a healthy breakfast consisting of oatmeal (with honey, cinnamon and syrup) 1 orange, handful of almonds and water for breakfast and making a lunch consisting of PBJ sandwich, 6 small carrots, sting cheese, dried apricots, dried cranberries, pretzels and water. Needless to say I'm feeling good about my structured routine....

AIDS walk at Golden Gate park...
I did the AIDS walk today in golden gate park. The Aids walk was great! It was a 10k walk, there were over 25,000 people. I was with the Rotary group, there were about 30 of us. I had some great conversations with about 6 different people. Everyone is really friendly and they have active lifestyles.
I’m sitting down at the dinner table with my computer, enjoying a wonderfully beautiful evening. The skies are blue, the sun is brightly shining outside although 2 of my 4 dinning room windows are 100% shaded with tree leaves. Currently I have my superfoods book next to me with a notepad, I’m going to make my week’s menu and walk to the store to go shopping. As I look out the window the trolley cars on Hyde st DING*DING and roll by 2 stories below me. Its so San Francisco where I live. The trolley cars are always filled with people, tourists mostly, enjoying the experience. I enjoy watching them roll by every 8 minutes or so. Well, hope your evening is nice ;)
